Fall is easily my favorite time of the year. It’s no longer scorching hot and I can enjoy more outdoor activities with my best pals. Something about the crisp, cool air and the vibrant colors of the falling leaves makes me want to go on many adventures and bonus if my dogs can be a part of the journey! If you have fall adventures on the mind like me and my pups, check out these beautiful, pet-friendly fall travel destinations in the U.S!

Cape Cod, Massachusetts

Cape Cod is booming with pet inclusive activities. On most of Cape Cod’s national shorelines with certain restrictions. Specifically in the fall, the world-famous Nauset Beach and Skaket Beach allow pets during the off-season from Labor to Memorial Day.

Be sure to take advantage of admiring the beautiful fall season by taking Fido on a sunset cruise. Sailing trips include whale-watching and dolphin cruises, sunrise and sunset sails and even charter fishing trips. Need some land dwelling ideas, try taking your furry friend on hikes that allow you to view the Bay and the Atlantic with historic lighthouses lining the way.

To see the prettiest colors of the fall, it’s recommended to visit in mid to late October. Your furry best pal and you can enjoy the beautiful fall landscape while hiking, camping, and exploring the wilderness!

Stowe, Vermont

Another beautiful fall escape for you and Fido is Stowe, Virginia. Take in the fresh, mountain air while taking in the vibrant colors of the foliage in the breathtaking Green Mountains! There’s a long list of pet-friendly shops, dining, and lodging.

If you really want to take in the spectacular views with your best pal, try taking a trip up the Gondola SkyRide! After you can hit the Stowe Recreational Path, a 5.2-mile, paved trail that winds along the river into town.

Duluth, Minnesota

There’s a scenic, fall escape located in the Midwest on the great Lake Superior. Duluth, Minnesota is known for loving dogs and providing many adventures for the both of you! There’s many winding trails to be explored and when you’re ready to relax, you can take your pick of many pet-friendly bistros, creameries, or breweries! Be it trails, dog parks, or pet-friendly patios and lodging, your best friend is always welcome on your trip to Duluth.
